Pyramide Vincent, Balmenhorn, corno Nero, Ludwigshohe, Italy

A bright day, clear skies, and we set off to hit 4 peaks, the first is the obvious one beside the hut, and the other 3 up towards the col.
Pyramid Vincente ..  up the obvious trail swinging up to the top. The top a round hump with great views down to Italy and up to the rest of the big peaks around.

From the Pyramide, it was down and up the other side to the Balmenhorn .. this little rocky outcrop is significant because of its location for a bivvi hut, an enormous metal statue or christ, and an overpowering stench from the (not so) long drop toilet of the biviv hut.

From here the remaining two peaks were simple snow plods, with an occasional steep bit thrown in to keep the interest up.

First off to Corno Nero - and a short ice pitch above a bergshrund to add interest.

Second to Ludwigshohe.

Additionally from here we could see the impromptu tent lager, at the base of the Liskamm ridge.

The views into Italy and the Liskam East summit
Then back down the motorway to the hut and a well deserved rest.
