There was a lot of low cloud around today, but the forecast was for it to be clear, so taking a chance we headed up to Val Cenis, and an opportunity to ride the off-piste beside the runs. We took the free bus to save on the van and fighting for a parking spot.
We headed up to the high point, on a combination of lifts, and as we rode up we passed through the clouds.
Up at the high point we could see the full extent of the cloud inversion below.
We then did a series of run on the top section before heading to the eastern end of the resort. Here we traced the route Chris and I had done with Bryon, all those years before.
After lunch at the bottom, we headed back up to the top. From here we were going to drop down to the Western end, via the col de Cenis.
The girls and M-J then headed down to the village of Lanslebourg, where Chris and I would meet them later to catch the bus back.
Meanwhile Chris and I headed up to the top for a swift run from the top to the bottom in one go.
We met up with everyone in the creperie
