The next day we were very late rising... an after effect of the long day before. This would be the last day we would be with Chris and M-J, as they would be heading home after this.
After saying goodbye to them Bryon and I headed around to Lauterbrunnen. We wanted to have a look around, and see if it would be a similar base as Grindlewald.
We parked up and looked around. There was a back packers hostel - the valley hostel which looked plausible, but would not be open until 4pm.
This seemed like a likely place to spend the night, if we could get in and a plan was forming to go back up to the Jungfraujoch and to head further east then work back west.
So we headed to the end of the road and did the touristy thing. We stopped for lunch by a cable car lift that seemed to be used solely for parapentistes, and base jumpers.
We headed back and were waiting outside when the hostel opened . there was no issue getting space, and we were soon installed in a dortoir, with some Asian travelers for company.
Dinner was DIY or the local bar, so we took no persuading to go tot he latter.
The route we had planned would take us behind all this peak line and we would visit the peak on the far right.
