Aussois, France

The sun was shining, and the weather was fantastic, when we had got all our gear ready and made our way up to the ski lifts, it was nearly lunch time.

The bottom of the lift was all green, with just a hint of snow above the trees.

The pisteurs had been working hard just to keep things going. In the upper area there was a bit more snow.

The routes were all well beaten and skied out, so we headed over to the back bowl .. there was more and better snow here. The previous trips had shown us some of the best off-piste routes here, and we spent the most of the day repeating them.

As the afternoon wore on the snow became heavier and heavier soon we called it a day, and went back to the fort for a rest.
