Stone Farm Rocks, Local Day Trip

We made several trips to Sandstone, this was a time we went to Stone Farm Rocks.

Idwall slabs, Snowdonia Trip

Another good day, and we headed off to Idwal slabs
Toby and I then Blitzed

and Ordinary Route

then headed home.

Tryfan, Snowdonia Trip

Munich Climb + Toby

Toby and I headed off to Ogwen valley for the weekend. Camping below little Tryfan.

The sun was up and the day promised well. ..  we warmed up scrambling on Little Tryfan before heading off up Heather terrace, and ascending the Munich Climb.

Over the top and down to the cottage and tea bar.

Langdale, Lakes Trip

A wet day, so we (Jim Toby and I) headed up to Pavey arc scrambling up Great Gully, then back down and setting off for home.

Toby, Jim and I headed up to Langdale

First we headed for Gimmer Crag - Bracket and Slab then back to Raven Crag - Middlefell buttress, before the Dungeon Gyll called.

Ramshaw Rocks, Peak District Trip

After a night at the usual Roaches campsite Jim and I headed back via Ramshaw Rocks and climbed ..

Phallic Crack
Corner Crack

then back via the motorway and hitching.

Roaches, Peak District Trip

Jim and I headed off to the peak district (I think this was a hitching trip).

We headed first for the Roaches and climbed:-

A trip from University to Shepherd's crag beside Derwent Water with Jim and Graham. Camping at the site just down the road.

wet day, University Easter Trip

Rain and more rain ..  we headed off to Fort William for a wander around the town.

Clacaig gully, University Easter Trip

The weather was poor again ... rain in the air, Jim and I headed off for the Clacaig gully ..  this was a water torrent in places, and very wet, the route went up the sides of gully.

We got several pitches up before we headed off back to the pub to clean up.

Stob Coire nan Lochan, University Easter Trip

A much better day, still cloudy, but much higher, and the tops were under the clouds.

Stob Coire nan Lochan was today's target ... up the general route and back down again.

Ben Nevis, University Easter Trip

The day was still claggy, but we headed around to Ben Nevis and set off up the tourist path, the cloud was down below the saddle and we were soon in the cloud, following the track.

We only knew we had reached the summit when we reached the observatory.

Then back down following the track we had come up.

Lost valley, University Easter Trip

The clouds were down, and although it was not raining, we had to stay low ... so a bit of exploring up the lost valley, and getting lost in mist.

Anocheagac ridge, University Easter Trip

The standard route ... up the valley, back along the tops and down to the inn ...

fought with wind and low cloud most of the way and did not see much.

Glencoe, University Easter trip

A university trip up to Glencoe, we had a mini bis form the union and drove up to Glencoe in one push.

We set up our tents in the rough ground just up from the Clacaig inn on the grassy bits near the river ..  allowing room for any growth in river volume.

We also hoped we were too early for the midges,

I am not really sure of the order of the days that followed, but I have outlined what I remember happened on each session, even if it is not in the correct order.

Another wet day, so a quick trip to Crib Goch before heading back to London in the minibus

A university trip to North Wales, and we started off at Tryfan, with a wet scramble up the ridge to the top and back down to ogwen cottage
