Great Gable, Wasdale trip

Jim and I headed up to the lakes and around to Wasdale Head.

We walked up the path from the car park and headed across tp Napes Needle.

After waiting our turn on the iconic lump of rock was eery in the cloud.

Most of the other parties then disappeared off to other places, but Jim and I continued up needle ridge, and so to the summit of great gable.

I dont remember what else we did this trip, nor is the date accurate.

Keith, Jim and I went down to Avon gorge for the weekend, we parked in the main car park and ran through a number of climbs over the two days ...

We spent the night on top of the toilet block, and woken by the bin men who knew that we were there and wanted to ensure we had an early rise. The flip side was the man in the burger bar, who gave slices of cheese bigger than the burger with each bun ...

Ramshaw Rocks, Peak District Trip

The weather was not so good so we headed over to Ramshaw Rocks and completed, Boomerang, Arete and crack, as well as Groovy Baby before heading home.

Roaches, Peak district trip

Jim, Ken and I headed off to the Roaches ..  staying at the campsite below them

We did Babacomb Lee, Crack and Corner, Roscoe's Wall, Technical Slab, Capitol Climb, Chicken run and Rooster.

Then we watched the athletes on Sloth/

Helvellyn, Honister Meet

A stroll up Helvellyn ..  Striding edge, then back down Swirrel edge.

Honister Pass, Patterdale Trip

Jim, Ken and I headed off to the lakes ...  Honister Pass area ..   today was a walk along High Street.

New year trip, Inverness

 With John and Jane ...  some friend of theirs was at the hospital in Inverness ... we stayed with them
