Haytor, Easter Meet

Heading home, with a stop off at Haytor .. we had seen it in the Devon guide book and it looked a likely candidate that got us out of Cornwall before the rush.

We headed out there and made a couple of ascents ...  not really as dynamic as the sea cliffs, but a pleasant day out.

We did get to stand on the top via the hard way.

Penzance, Easter Meet

The weather was not so brilliant today, and a quick trip down to Sennan cove showed it was time to think if something else to do for the morning.

Trev played his guitar ... terrible to keep in tune, Bryon prayed to the rain gods.
Eventually it all brightened up and we got several routes done late in the afternoon. Double overhang, Demo route, and zigzag

Land's End, Easter Meet

A damp morning, so a slow start ...  we went down to Lands End to check out the climbing, and did Land's End long climb, with boots and rucksacs..  alpine style.
As the weather continued to be damp with occasional rain and exhausting the Land's End attractions of the Round house and the lifeboat. We took a drive towards Penzance.

The tide was in so we could not get over to St Michaels mount, however we popped over to have a look at Ding Dong mine on the way back.

Bosigran, Easter Meet

Bosigran today .. we had driven down last night in the crowds and pitched in the campsite with all the other tents.
Still a bit damp and very chilly we parked up in the carpark and got ready for the descent trek.

When we got down tothe main ledge the sea was down but very atmospheric.
Little Brown Jug, Suicide wall, Autumn Flakes, Zig Zag,

Then to finish the day we went for an alpine ascent of Commando ridge on the other side of the inlet.

Then back for supper and a night in the Wreckers.

Snowdon, Snowdonia meet

With rain in the air, and snow not far away, we chose to walk the Snowdon horseshoe.

Up crib goch to the summit  ..  the restaurant was closed (no trains in winter) and so we sheltered behind the wall against the rime.
Continuing along the ridge to llewedd then back down to Llanberis pass.
