Overnight the wind, that had been around in the evening got stronger. I remember lying in my sleeping bag listening to the gusts coming up the valley in a growing roar. At some point I heard Trevor swear as his tent took off, and the morning saw him in with Bryon.
The only tents to survive the wreckage was Bryon's hurricane and my Mountain Quasar. the others were all in wet piles in the back of the minibus with their occupants trying to sleep in the seats.
Tired and wet they decided to head for home, and as this was our transport we joined them ... the memories of yesterday made up for the long journey back.
