Oban, GlenCoe Meet

It was raining again so we went for a drive around ... the long way around to Oban via the bridge of Orchy then back around the coast.

We took the short cut down the river orchy, following a road next to the river,
The recent rain had made the river swollen and breaking its banks making for some spectacular scenes with wild water.

This was our last day in GlenCoe this trip and tomorrow we go back home.

Stobb Corrie, GlenCoe Meet

 Frustrated with the weather ...  still overcast and no frost. We headed into Stobb Corrie nan locahan ...  we walked the horseshoe, and found some fun to be had on an ice bank

Fort William, GlenCoe Meet

Rain, rain and more rain ....  so we spent the day in Fort William wandering around the retail outlets.

White Corries, Glen Coe Meet

No real frost overnight to consolidate the snow on the mountains.
The weather was improving, but still overcast, so we headed for White Corries to spend the day on skis.

Sgurr Dherg, GlenCoe meet

The cloud was down and there was rain in the air. So we went for a scramble up Sgurr Dherg, above the village on the loch

Long walk in then up the long ridge and down the other side, and long walk back to the cars.

Fort William, Glen Coe meet

Long drive up overnight and we arrived in Fort William at stupid o'clock.

So we had a leisurely breakfast and came back to GlenCoe where we had rented a cottage.

After exploring the little knoll at the end of the glen, and lunch in the pub we got access to the cottage and moved in.
