We had a half day today, before driving off to Dieppe and the ferry. We went to a part of the forest we had not been to before - Sucremont - and parked up.
After following a yellow route we cam back to the car, and I could not understand why the remote did not flash the lights ... there was no obvious damage, except the drivers key lock had been "pulled" ...  I guess the alarm had chased the thieves away and prevented them from ransacking the car, but did colour my attitude from then on.  don't leave anything on display, always park reversing in, hide all valuables well, make sure you park in a popular spot.
This put a dampener on the weekend, but we still ha a car and it was fine to drive, just did not lock properly. I had to get the garage to replace the lock on our return to the UK.

I think we went to Bas Cuvier today and played around on the rocks, taking in a route or two.

Then headed back to the campsite for dinner.

From the Cherbourg Peninsular we took a leisurely drive across to Le Mans then Milly la foret where we checked into the usual (and only) campsite in the Fontainbleau forest..

We caught the late ferry to Dieppe from Newhaven, and drove down the coast a while, crossed hte big bridge near Le Harvre. Then past Caen and up towards Cherbourg till we reached St. Germain, then parked up on the seafront and crashed in the car.
