St Sorlin D'Arves, France
The day was not quite so good as yesterday, but after the great day we had, it was worth another visit.
We knew where to park this time, so it was much simpler, and we were soon riding the lifts up
The aim for today, was, after warming up on the slopes from yesterday, to head over the back and up the other side to Les Perrons, then take the long circuitous route back via Petit Perron.
By the time we got back to the village it was time to call it a day and find something warm to drink.
A good expedition.

St Sorlin d'Arves, France
Another good day, and this time we decided to go to the next resort up the valley. We drove into St Sorlin, and tried to find somewhere to par k... not easy and there was lots of very narrow streets .. we should have caught the bus! but that would be knowledge we would gain much later in the years.
We took the lifts up La Balme, and rode a number of the routes on the slopes facing the town, before the lure of chips got the better of the girls.
After lunch we tried the longer routes off the top down the back and around the side.
Then it was back to the car and the apartment.

St Jean D'Arves, France
The sun was out again today, so we were to head up the hill, and make our way over to the top of pointe du Corbiere.
I am not sure which lifts we rode, but we had some good fun in the soft snow
The views from the tops over the Maurienne were stunning.
After all the fun we worked our way back and the girls had their usual play on the lower slopes ... Bryon even got Jenny out ... he dragged her up the nursery slopes and then let her ski down, snow ploughing as she went. This built on her experiences last year.

St Jean D'Arves, France

First day. ... time to get boots and skis for Sue and the girls, and then up on the slopes for a half day.
From here it was back down to the village .. we were not really ready for the soft snow, so stuck to the pistes. I did realise that my skis needed some warmer wax on my skis as they were sticking a little. So time to nip into the ski shop for some rub on wax, whilst the girls played on the lower slopes on their own.

2003 Ski Trip, France
This year we had an apartment in St. Jean D'Arves, or more correctly at the bottom of the ski slopes at Les Ecours. It was a newly built chalet with several apartments .. we had one at the top.
We arrived from Dijon late in the afternoon, and hit the snow as we left the village of St Jean, and turned up a small track. We drove through with only a few scares and a couple of four wheel drifts, and pulled into the parking behind the chalet.
Bryon arrived later and in the dark, so felt he had to put the chains on, unfortunately one fell off somewhere on the short journey. We were really lucky that another guest had found it and was boasting of it where Bryon could overhear, so he got it back.
We settled in and enjoyed the ambiance.
