Aussois, France

Our last day and it promised to be a good one.. although we started with low cloud again, but our hope was that as yesterday they would soon pass and the sun would come out.

We set off for our first run from the top ... and by the time we were back up there the sun was up.

We had some great views of the cloud inversion in the valley and were grateful that we had made the effort to get up the mountain.

Then back down the red run.

We had another trip up to the top before cutting over to the right and dropping down the only remaining powder to the refuge for lunch.

After lunch we had one more run form the top to the bottom .. a fitting finale for the trip.

Termignon, France

The sun was shining so we headed out early, over to Termignon and went right up to the top.

We went straight over to the red runs to play on the off-piste...  hoping the wind had not blown the fresh powder away , starting on the simple straight down route.

Followed by repeating, but on the other side of the lifts and working our way back to the mid stations for lunch.

After lunch we went from the top to the bottom before having to call it a day as everyone was feeling the pace a little.

Aussois, France

Fresh snow had fallen over night so we were keen to get out on the hill.

The day started with clouds covering everything, so we began just on the lower section, making some good tracks on the spaces besides the pistes.

This kept us occupied for several hours as we explored other tracks through the trees.

After lunch the sun started to peak through the clouds. So we made some tracks on the open slopes, now we could see where we were going.

Each time we came down there was a particular short cut corner that just had to be done. It headed down a steep gully from a cross, on the edge of the return piste, followed by a gully onto the open lower pastures.

This always brought a smile to our faces.

Aussois, France

I am not sure what we did today, but sometime over yesterday and today there was a lot of snow dropped. I suspect it was a rough day to-day.

One of these days we took a walk around the lower part of the village and watched the snow tube riders, and also the girls went off sledging on the slopes opposite the apartment below fort Marie-Christine.

The wind was a little fierce

Aussois, France

I am not sure what we did today, but sometime over today and tomorrow there was a lot of snow dropped.
Stayed in and played scrabble.
It eased off in the afternoon and went for a walk around the shop(s). Then it turned to rain.
