Lal Bagh gardens, Bengaluru

A walk in the park... the botanical gardens ... not as lush as at the hotel, but a large green area ... lots of couples on the benches taking time out.
Plenty of floral bedding around the main beds.>br/>
At the top of the park was a stone hill ... looked like one large boulder.
>Behind it some stagnant pools and a bit untidy
There was an area where some carving of old trees was on progress
In the big glass house there was no greenery, just a large god statue in the middle, with two side statues ... one very red and "exposed"
A much better lake at the top, beyond the hill ... a little murky but solid water.
Some friends having lunch.

Back through the middle had the band stand, the rose garden , the topiary, the flower clock, and some excellent bedding back near the entrance.

Tipu Sultan's summer palace, Bengaluru

One of the "attractions" in Bengaluru ... Tipu Sultan's summer palace ... in reality this looks like a smaller version of the main palace in Mysore. This had the front and back side as mirror images, with a garden to the front, and an empty pond to the rear.
Getting in required a ticket ... needed to purchase in a small booth ... but was a scrum down, with lots of pushing in ... after I got a ticket had to retreat out backwards forcefully
Around the corner was the Kote Venkataramana Swamy temple ... I wandered in thinking it led to the summer palace, but quickly retreated.

Bangalore Fort, Bengaluru

Bangalore fort ...the old stone walls of a small section remain.
A little underwhelming ... a main gateway, with inner courtyard, a further inner lawn then another getaway.
The large wooden gates with very old hinges

2018 Day trip - Bengaluru

Sunday and time for some exercise ... I had worked out a circuitous route to several tourist places
On the walk out there was a start on the main roads, but ended up walking through a street market, dodging the cars in the vehicles and the sellers.
The usual 2 wheeler sights ... more have helmets on but the usual load carrying challenges.
The other points to see ... tyres... used and new as well as helmets ... used and new.
On the way back went up through Cubbon park ... where I had been last time I was here. then out by the government legislature buildings.
After nearly 19 kilometres I was back at the hotel ... a little tired and a bit dehydrated ... but also a little sun burnt on top ... lack of a hat and a receding hairline caused the problem..
Excellent way to avoid people is to put headphones in and head down ... works really well with the auto rickshaw touts
