At around 11am it was much better and packing a lunch we set off for a circuit
to the north of the campsite, leaving via a track to one side of the field,
dropping down into the valley below, before turning along the farm track in
the base.
The track turned up hill into Lott wood (more beech trees)
The red kites were flying around in a large group, however capturing them on camera was a more difficult task.

The track continued through gentle beech woods rising up to the ridge top beside Cowell Hill.
To come out at a road, following the road to Sprig's Alley and then back into the woods

picking up another bridleway through some pasture fields. One notable difference between here and the woods of the Surrey Hills is that the way markers are painted on the Beech trees

We dropped down to the track below (part of the Bledlow circular ride, and end up in Radnage
The last section now involved crossing over the valley and then climbing steeply back up to the road beside the campsite.
