Bertie and I headed off to the Joust field to check in for tomorrows event. We followed the usual route out, through the field behind Ormond house, past orchard and fox cottages, to head out to Skiff lane beside Beldhamland farm. then down the drive to Hurst Farm House.
Into the joust fields over the path behind them. First stop was Steph's tent with the re-enactors - I had some screws and a drill for her to fix her tent pole. Then a wander around the site talking to the usual suspects. Before a long chat with Daniel on the gate.
The return was via the canal... so over the road (B2133) and down the bridleway beside the wood yard. We continued on the track past the usual turning and continued to Drungewick lane coming out beside the kennels. Down the lane to the canal at the aqueduct, then along the canal, passing Balwin's knob lock and up to Brewhurst bridge.
Finally back home across the fields.
