A clear sunny day after several days of rain, it was going to be hot today, but the recent rain had refreshed all the mud, so we stayed close to home, and used the opportunity to go to Kirdford for a Bread run
Standard route down to Kirdford trying to keep to the main tracks especially the ones that are more farm tracks.Only the known points were muddy - round the end of Orchard cottage, and along the sheep dog field - before the swamps closer to Kirdford in the woods aroudn the playing fields.
A stop at the shop for bread and sausage rolls then we set off back via Crouchlands.
The mud was also run then we could by-pass it beside Mackerel's common in the bluebells.
After Crouchlands we took the driveway down to Rickman's Lane and across to the track leading to the substation and into Wephurst wood. Back on the local circuits to return to Ifold.
