After a day of standing on her legs, Sue chose to take the road route around to the pub for the evening, thus cutting out the field crossing elements. It
was around the same distance, just slightly longer.
We followed the route we had taken last night along the road to the cottage with the signal then along into the village. Taking in the walks beside the river where the bridge crossed I took a diversion in the village to see the church with its very old (and separate) bell tower.
Then across to the open square and dirt floored covered area over looking the pub.
After our libations we returned to the campsite via the same route once again.
