The next day we move to Grindlewald and into a campsite close to the train station. This was the same camp site where Bryon and Chris had been earlier prior to their "altercation". We had planned to park the cars there whilst we attempted the traverse of the Eiger, from the Mitttrelgi ridge to the Monchjoch. Uncertain on the logistics of getting to the Mittelegi hut, and how it worked with the train, the extra day gave us time to find out.We discovered that you rode the train to the Eismer station and then exited out onto the glacier (somehow). You had to buy a return ticket to the Jungfraujoch (as you could not get single to the Eismer station and a down from the top) but this was a minor problem.
Sue and Christine, would continue up the train to the top and meet us at the monchjoch, taking in the "Tourist" things at the top. Bryon, Chris, Dave and I chose the more complicated path.
