Spring Alpine Tour, Switzerland

Bryon and I headed back to Switzerland again ...  I still have a hankering for adding in the two days of the original Haute Route not yet done .. from Bourg St Pierre to Arolla. To do it "in season" would mean being around to pick up the slack days from the guided parties ... So a few warm up days then hit it before the weekend crowds get in. After that we would see how things were going and what the weather was like.

We arrived into Orcieres late on the Saturday night - heading for the Hotel Union - we had used last time in the area, where we were among only a few guests.  After a good nights sleep we awoke to a clear blue sky and the promise of a hot day to come, but not of the weather that would follow..
