Walk to Work, London

I had a meeting at the Royal Horseguards hotel ... home of the liberal club and also Gladstone's library
I took the early Gatwick express to Victoria and walked across... as Donald Trump was in town there were parts of the way blocked so I had to work around Buckingham palace and also the Mall, as well as protesters in Trafalgar square.

crossing St james's park, looking both ways on the lake
With the Mall closed, it was timely to take a photo each way.
Google maps had the wrong location for the hotel (it had it somewhere around the back of the Trafalgar Square), and I had to find the real address and go to that.
The meeting was in the Gladstone library where there were a lot of bookshelves, although it was a shame that the books were all fake .. I did take some pictures, but they did not come out well.
there were some good fireplaces though
And some stairs up to the higher levels.
Leaving at the end of the day was into the rain and trying to go directly back got stuck around parliament square for the same reason as the Mall was closed.
Eventually getting the train back and then home by 7pm
