Godalming Canal Stroll, Local

The van needed to go in for an MOT, and this usually takes around 2 hours, so plenty of time to wander into Godalming and back out again.

After dropping the van at the workshop, I dropped down through the houses to the canal close to the Unstead lock, and then along the towpath towards Godalming
The mist was obscuring the view, but we could just make out Farley Hill, and the reflections below Tannachie bridge.

Passing the Farncombe boathouse and over the road into Lammas land
Staying with the canal and all its twists and turns as it came to meet the A3100 on the edge of Godalming.
It had only taken 40 mins so far so I wandered up the high street and back down, before popping into Waitrose for a few supplies.
Time to head back, this time curving up to Farncombe railway station using the path alongside the timber merchants. Then passing the local shops and out along the road past the sports centre, and school.
Opposite the crematorium I crossed the B3000 and into Peasmarsh woods. The track comes out opposite the garage.
Into the service centre waiting area for a cup of tea and to wait out the remaining time.
Van came through without issues, so home in time for lunch.
