Kirdford Circuit

There had been heavy rain overnight and a forecast for more today, however by mid morning there was a hint of sun in the sky, so I determined to take a stroll down to Kirdford and pick up a roll for lunch, then come back via Crouchlands - A circuit I had done several times before and hence no pictures.

I took the usual (more direct) route to Kirdford - Past Orchard Cottage, then down to Wephurst furze, across to Great Common and past the new estate to the shop.

After picking up some rolls and a cake, I set off for Crouchlands along the Petworth road then along the path to Hills Green Farm. Next along the by-way up to the sludge ponds, and on to Rumbolds farm, there cutting across to Rickmans lane and over the fields to Foxbridge lane. Finally through the woodland trust area, along the Plaistow road tot eh shop and back down the drive to home.
