Winkworth Again

Back in the "situation normal" after our visit to Denmark, so I needed to get out and stretch my legs. The weather though was pushing over 30 degrees, and so I needed to leave early and also find places that had options for some shade.
I came up with a route around Winkworth, but extending almost to Godalming. Starting at the car park opposite the white horse, circling around to Winkworth, before dropping down through it, up past Thorncombe street towards Godalming. Turning back towards Bramley, then cutting down to Wintershall, before returning to hascombe.

I parked in the car park opposite the White Horse then set off through the fields to Hoe farm.
Down the farm drive before climbing some steps up to a grass field and across to the woods above.
It the woods I followed a wide track with a zigzag and over Mare lane.
The other side led through a gateway and lots of "private" signs, up to Hascombe Court. Then down its driveway through the scattered residential area to touch the B2130.
At teh road a quick U-turn down the road to High Barn, and the track beside.
Into Busbridge woods, in a stretched out 180° through the wood tracks.
In the bottom of the woods at the middle of the turn, I picked up the track from my last walk here, climbing around to South Munstead Farm.
Next down the drive way back to the B3120.
Over the road and into the Arboretum -  a public path goes right through it so there was no issue with access.
Through the Arboretum to the bottom and out to the back road. Here I picked up the permitted access path beside the road and at the first house of Thorncombe Street I turned up the path along the northern border of the arboretum.
This path passed the house and into a field behind it, climbing this to the woods above.
There was an occasional view over to the North Downs as I crossed the back road and into the scrub beyond.
Along a fenced in path then over Munstead Heath Road before dropping down a driveway opposite.
This bridleway dropped down beside fields passing Cattershall Manor to the outskirts of Godalming.
Turning along the residential road to its end where it turned into a private school drive, then onto the track that continued.
Picking up the Fox way to continue around the school grounds. Avoiding Farley Hill to stay beside the school
Down to the school entrance on Munstead Heath Road again. A zigzag along the road and a path down to Nurscombe farm.
Along the back road to the end of Mill pond, crossing the damn to Eastwater house. The path does a sharp turn through the buildings and alongside the field behind.
Through the woods then a steady climb up beside some grass fields.
Down to a driveway then along it to a junction. taking the track down to farm buildings.

Into the field behind the cottage and up through a grass field to the woods, and over the ridge.
Here the path disappeared into ferns. I had to push through feelign the way with my feet. Picking upthe Greensand way at Brookwell
Following the driveway along to Lea farm, then out the otehr side and on another track out to Gatestreet Farm.
From the farm and through to the overspill car park for Wintershall.
Through the fields of the Cristian centre on the Greensand way.
From the end of the centre the path went through woods and ferns past the horse head statue. This path ended at Scotsland farm.
Over the back road, still on the Greensand way and climbing into the woods behind.
These woods are the end of the hascombe Hill horseshoe.
Dropping down to Upper house on a steep sunken track, then onto the back road.
Past the church and pond leading to the back of the White Horse pub.
Here I was tempted to stop for a drink - it had got even hotter now, then home for lunch and to cool down.
