The heatwave had returned so I thought it wise to limit the walks so I was stopped by midday. In this regard I got a lift with Sue to Brinsbury College and planned to walk back home. Through the college farm and up to Wisborough Green, from here around Newpound to Malham farm. across to Skiff lane, and home via the parish boundary route.
I left Sue in the college grounds and went through the buildings to get to the fields past the solar panels.Crossing the cow fields to miss Stablebarn farm and down the farm lane (there was an old notice about path closed because of a downed power line, but they both looked Ok to me)
The path emerged onto Black Gate lane, which changed into a farm driveway after Haybourne. Continuing on the drive way passing Wobblegate farm, before following the driveway down to a house past lee Place farm.
Around the front of the house and onto a farm lane leading down to the Wey & Arun canal.
Over the canal and across Harsfold hanger to the farm of the same name.
Along the driveway to teh farm continuing to the A272 just outside Wisborough Green.
Straight over and up the lane opposite to the back gate to the church yard.
Out of the church yard and along a grass field to a defined path between hedges. This path mutated into a driveway leading to Newpound Lane.
Along Newpound lane to the next path on the left. Over a rickety stile and into the field. along a second path to Howfold farm.
Over a path adn along the side of a field to Sole copse and hence the B2133. Over this and onto a windy trail through rough woods.
The path came out to a grass field with views across to the Green sand ridge.
Around the edge of the field to a farm lane.
Along the farm lane to Malham farm, then down its driveway back towards the B road.
Partway down, along a drive to a house beside Cutt's Copse. Around the house via a corn field and into the woods. The path came out onto Drungewick lane, which I followed back to the B road.
Over the B road and down another drive way to access the path that went down the side. Along this and around the houses of Cooper's copse to reach Skiff lane.
Up the lane to reach the driveway to Walthurst farm, where I joined the parish boundary path that led back to Fox cottage, and hence home along the fields and around Ormond House.
