Van habitation check short tour

It was time again for the annual habitation check on the van, so combined with a number of other events crammed into this week, we chose to go on a short tour - Up to Yorkshire for the check, then down to Sussex for the BOC walk before returning to Wales so we could go to pick up the keys for our new house on the Saturday.

We packed up the van and left for Upwood park on Tuesday morning, arriving in the area just after lunchtime. Too early to check-in to the caravan park we spent several hours going around the railway museum at Ingrow for the Keighley stream railway.
After settling in to the allocated spot in the park, we went to the nearest "local" for some dinner - a walk over the moors.

Wednesday was the day for the habitation check, and we drove over to Bingley to leave the van and go for a walk up to Druid's Altar. After the walk (and van service) we set off back to the park. Dinner that night was in the park bar - not really something to be repeated, as I preferred the walk.

Thursday we drove down to Sussex, where we had been offered a bed with Val and Bob. Dinner in the plough and much chat led to late bedtime.

Friday I left everyone and went off for my walk with the BOC retirees at Knepp estate, before coming back to pick up Sue. Then a long journey back to Newbridge to be ready for the key collection the following day.
