After I managed to not embarrass myself too much on the pipes, and the usual social afterwards I headed up towards London, and the C&C campsite in Chertsey.
They allocated me a pitch next to the river Thames, quite pleasant with only a few planes overhead.
After settling in I chose to go for a stroll around the local area and finding a place for dinner.
I set off around the main roads - avoiding the centre of the town, but going past Snow & Rock shop and down to the High School.
Around the school turning back up to the Chertsey Meads, by which time it was getting dark, and the moon was above the trees.
Around the Wharf and up to Chertsey bridge.
I passed the Bridge Inn as it looked sparse, and crossed the bridge to the Kingfisher, which was fuller.
After dinner I crossed back over the bridge and back to the site. Now very dark and the moon shining overhead.
