Snowdon, N. Wales

We had an offer of places in a minibus from Thames Valley club going to Llanberis pass ... Snow was forecast, so Trevor, Bryon and I  joined the trip ...  camping in the field below the pass.

The weather was overcast, but dry and we set off up Snowdon from the pass and approached the Trinity Gullies via Crib Goch, being first over was a delight then we charged down the zigzags, past the walkers going the other way, and across to the Trinities.

The gullies were just in condition, and all 4 had enough snow to let us climb, but each one had a queue ...  We soloed up to Central Trinity as it was the smallest, and after the crux Trevor headed off left to avoid debris from parties above - leading to some excellent harder grade ice.

Lunch behind the restaurant on the top, and we then completed the circuit with a descend via Llwedd.

So back to the tents and down to the pub for refreshment.
