After last year, where we had been thwarted on our attempt to do the Haute route. This year we decided on a different tack. Still using the concept of gites, we would go to La Grave and return to the gite Bryon and I stayed at Arsine, past Villar d'Arenne. We had originally got the gite from the tourist office in La Grave.
Gite le pas de l'Ane but after the last visit we knew what and where to go. So we just turned up and hoped there was space ... there was, so we booked in for four days, initially.
We wanted to spend some days in the Ecrins and then explore a new area .. Vallandry was the the first idea. Bryon and Chris made up the team this year .. much smaller than last year.
