Alpine Spring Tour, Switzerland

This year we were back in the alps ... working out of the back of the Caravelle. The plan was to warm up in Chamonix, the move around to the Grand St. Bernard valley , before doing the Verbier link of the haute route as far as the Dix hut where we would cut down to Arolla and come back to the van by train.

Setting off early Saturday, we drove through the day and arrived at Chamonix late in afternoon, and drove around to the Gite de la Montagne...  we had not booked and hoped that there would be space. ..  All was well and and we got a bunk in the room we had used in 2001. ..  Not much had changed.
