New campsite, and a different challenge to track down dinner... this time there appeared to be a long way around on back roads or a short cut over the river. Buoyed up by yesterdays successful trek we set off in the fading light along the back road to the farm called Ty Gwyn where they were putting the cows to bed.
Here the shortcut should go over a field and a foot bridge over the river. It was not well marked and the when we got close there was a fence to climb to get to the bridge and it also looked blocked. So plan B ... stay on the back road as it round around three sides of a square.
Finally over a little hill to drop down to the village before climbing again up tot eh A458 and our location for tonight's food - Cann Office hotel.
We were once again the first into the dining room, and were soon eating.
Welcome to my world of days out. This diary of stories is recorded for my own record - recollections that I cannot guarantee are complete or even if things have been remembered incorrectly. I have added some graphs to the end at the page to show the increase in distances attained as I got fitter and more ambitious now regular weekly walking is more feasible. This pages shows a summary of the latest entries - for indexes use the button bar below.
