Plaistow, Loxwood Local Loop

I am constrained by my nursing duties, there wont be any longer walks for a while, as I need to be around home to administer medication every four hours. So after my early morning duties (medication, breakfast, moving to the downstairs) I had three hours before lunchtime duties, so I popped out for a local loop walk - one of a number of variants heading first to Plaistow, then along the track to Sydney wood, across to Alfold then down to Loxwood and home.

The weather was clear blue skies with a hard frost on the ground from overnight. It was not going to be warm, however it would be dry and in the sun. There was still a lot of mud, especially on the popular or low lying paths, and really churned up where there was a combination.

I followed the start of my standard bread run walk to the top of The Ride, then dropped down the little lane to Hogwood farm and Barton farm, to pick up the fields route to Plaistow.
At the Plaistow place drive I followed the path into Hogwood and then the Sussex border path to Julie's house, where I turned onto the track through Third copse.
Staying on the farm track to Sydney wood farm then down its drive and onto Rosemary Lane.
Down the field beside the drive to Turtles farm following the stream and ponds aroudn the houses and woods behind it.
More fields then led to the driveway to Oakhurst farm, where I turned onto the path towards Loxwood.
The red kites were flying as the path zigzagged around Pawlies farm and into the Pond Copse Lane. I took the opportunity to explore the new housing estate and see if there was an exit onto the back lane, but this was not the case, then because the usual path was blocked by new building projects I continued to opposite Station road, before crossing back to the canal.
From here it was the usual route back home.
