As we had time, we chose to return to the apartment after checking out the
Austrian side of the Inn valley where we were. this involved driving across
the motorway and through Niederdorf, to Walchsee.
From here we took farm roads up to the edge of the trees rising up to a ridge
line. There was a route starting from a car park here that we wanted to see what
condition it was in.
We parked where google told us the car park was and
walked up the track to the real car park. From here we could see the track
disappearing into the trees, but not much snow ... there appeared to be some
higher up in a meadow, however we were not sure what remained on the far
side.
So back to the car to look at the second option - a route following
the ski piste up from Kossen. we got there to see just a couple of ribbons
rising under the lifts - not really appealing even if it did end in a summit.
Back
to the apartment no further decided on tomorrows route!
