I had a couple of chores to get through today, so while they were in progress I had a couple of walks to keep me occupied.
While the van was undergoing its MoT I headed out blind to walk around the industrial estate. I headed off around the food processor and the Heineken brewery.
After the MoT had completed I went off to Presteigne to retrieve "stuff" from the storage locker. As I was late for lunch I walked into the village to find a sandwich shop.
I dropped the van off at Bennetts, and they advised it would be a "couple" of hours, so I went for a coffee at the café at the end of the road, before realising it would take longer than that.
Along Red barn drive to the Yazor Road, down this to the Brook, and an opportuniy to explore a green swathe. Like a lot of cities, Hereford seems that it has some green links between areas. I followed this to a paved track and on through the reserveThis came out at the Heineken brewery. I could not get though it so I took the road down to A438 (Whitecross road) but only for a short section before leaving it onto the new cycle./foot path leading back up - The great western way. At Beaumont gardens the track merged with residential roads, and so up to Herefordshire football association - an enclosed football pitch.
I saw a path heading off towards the industrial estate, and followed it - on the map there was a open green area and it looked like a path went through it.
However there was a high fence all around, and I followed this around Cargill meats factory .. when this path did not head the right way, I had to retreat back to the cricket pitch and around the long way back to the industrial park entrance.
back with the van then off to Presteigne.
I parked up at the storage location adn walked down the road into the
village. - time to get some lunch at the sandwich shop before returnig to
load up the van.
