Wednesday Wander, Kinnersley

Sue was looking for a local walk, but avoiding all the local overgrown stiles, so we came up with a wander around the local lanes.
The lanes in the N/S direction are single track, and the Woonton to Almeley is slightly bigger, so there was very little traffic. The same cannot be said for the A4112, but we have walked there before and know the danger points.
The walk was all on tarmac (although sometimes covered in mud!) and very obvious navigation.Up Newchurch road, passing the hop oasts at Newchurch, and the cottages at Logaston.
Turn left at the edge of Woonton onto the Almeley road, following this to the village hall, and keep left to reach Almeley church.
Left onto the Kinnersley road, and follow it (including the steeper section up to Lower Newton farm) to the main road.
Initially there is a pavement up to the church, then it is along the side of the road back home.
I guess a better bet would have been to return across the orchards and fields to the chicken farm at Sallies (from Lower Newton farm) but the fields would have been very wet both under foot and also on the bushes. This would have saved most of the walking along the main road.
