Bryon and I had been talking about going back and doing some more ski mountaineering, and had been planning for a few months for another Easter trip.
An over night drive in the car and we were in Chamonix for Good Friday.
We headed to the same camp-site in Les Praz as last year, similarly just opened for the Easter break. Nick was back with us, for what would be the final time, but that is a story for later in the week. Chris came down from his parents-in-law and met us at the camp-site. Martin was working nearby and had persuaded them to pay for him to be put up for the long weekend, so would tag along if we were doing anything interesting and there was no better offer. and to complete the group Derek was around .. I am not sure how or why, and he was only around for a day or two.
after the snow we headed to Saas Fee, where we had an eye on a couple of 4000m peaks, then back to Chamonix.
