This years trip to the Alps we wanted to do a bit more of the Haute Route, preferably the initial steps from Chamonix to Champex. then we would see what else fits with the weather....
Setting off in the Tourneo we did the usual overnight sprint to Chamonix, and installed ourselves in the Mer de glace campsite.
The weather was sunny so we would do some warm ups on the local slopes then head straight off for the first day, fit or not.
