I had been busy all week with odd jobs and was ruing the good weather, so after a slow start to the day, I decided to go off for a local walk.
I would take the roads up to the local top - Trembyd then come back along the Wye valley trail.
Staying along the road in the same direction and over the cross roads.
Through Blaenglynolwyn farm and out onto the moor behind.
A turn to follow a small dimple that led to the skyline.
Over the skyline and around to the col looking at Trembyd.
Cutting over the col and staying on the south side to traverse along the side. there was a footpath along the wall here.
Leaving the wall and continuing down the ridge.
At the sharp edge staying on the path as it slanted down to the Wye Valley trail - a byway parallel to the river.
The byway merged onto a back road after a river crossing, and I stayed on it as it made its way back to the crossroads I had passed earlier.
back down the road passing Llysdinam and back over the river.
