- Glatthorn - repeat visit but to the col on the opposite side
- Hohes Licht - Ascending the Rodelbahn to the lodge, then across the ridge to the summit
- Schoppernau - Au Stroll - A local walk in the snow
- Ragazer Blanken - Popular "in bounds" skinning track to a peak
- Portlahorn - Local 5* route, short because we only had half a day.
After 4 days in Schoppenau we would moved over to Schmirn in the Brenna valley for a further 8 days. Staying in a ground floor annex apartment
- Hoher Napf - Repeat visit to the mountain behind the apartment
- Schmirn - local orientation stroll
- Vennspitze - Another repeat (because it is so good)
- Naviser Kreuzjoch - Another local legend route
- Toldern Stroll - rest day/ weather related limitations
- Nosslachjoch - Ski station peak at the valley tail
- Kluppenalm - Exploring the end of the valley
- Hochgeneiner - A walk to St. Jodok and back via steep slopes
Back along much the same route apart from the exit to Germany, again taking two days. Nearly 1000 miles each way!
A fantastic trip with lots of varied conditions and different days out. We only had two days where we were had a limited palette to work with (and one of those was deemed a rest day!), starting with cloud covered days, they gradually got brighter and, after some welcome snow, turned clear and cold - all with some fantastic skiing. We got the timing of our returns (12 noon) right for this time of year which maximised the ideal skiing conditions.
We surpassed 100Km and 7500m on our tours this year, which was also at the top of our statistics.
