This year , Bryon, Chris and I have reserved an apartment, just up the road from Briancon at Mongenevre .. there did seem to be a number of routes and several options available.
The apartment we had booked turned out to be in a block on the hill, with plenty of room to park the van.
The view from the apartment looked out over a peak (Janus) we discovered later, and this would be our first summit.
The apartment was a simple, standard one room place with lounge/ kitchen, bathroom and bunks in the hall.Following on from the success of the apartment concept from last year, we hoped this would give us a dry base to explore, and one that we would be able to dry out if/ when we got wet.
